Dr. Di Maria is a board certified neurologist trained at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and is an expert in headache disorders, movement disorders and general neurology. He has extensive expertise in diagnosis and management of migraine, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

Our clinic provides care for all types of headache disorders, with state of the art therapeutics, including the new CGRP receptor blockers (Ubrelvy, Qulipta, Ajovy, Nurtec, Emgality), in addition to referrals for Botox for migraine and more.
Dr Di Maria is planning to start in person visits in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC, and will provide Botox injection in his clinic site.

Dr. Di Maria has extensive knowledge in cerebrovascular disorders, and can independently review you MRI brain, CT head and vessel imaging, as well recommend appropriate treatment for anticoagulation. Dr. Di Maria is also connected to a Stroke Clinic in the Washington DC region and to the Washington DC hospitals providing acute stroke care.

Thanks to an additional training in movement disorder, the doctor is comfortable with advanced treatment of Parkinson disease and all the different form of parkinsonism, Lewy Body dementia, MSA (Multiple System Atrophy), FTLD (Frontotemporal lobe dementia).
Dr. Di Maria is up to date with all the new therapeutics in this evolving field. He offers medication management of carbidopa-levodopa, and referral to Deep Brain Stimulation centers.

Do you suffer from fainting spells? This often requires an evaluation with a neurologist.
Dr. Di Maria manages Orthostatic Hypotension, will review medication to check for any interaction or possible adverse effects, can order Tilt Table Test, and initiate referral to the appropriate center for diagnosis of POTS, benign positional vertigo, and other ear disorders.

Dr. Di Maria will carefully evaluate you for signs of Essential Tremor, medication side effects, Parkinsonism, or neuropathy (the latter will require an in person visit).
He can also order EMG and Nerve Conduction Study for evaluation of a pinched nerve and back pain.
